The Mark Travel Corporation Welcomes the Governor of Quintana Roo to Milwaukee

Opportunities for Leisure Travel to Mexico Abound as Mexico Continues to Recover

MILWAUKEE, September 25, 2009 – The Governor of Quintana Roo, Mr. Felix Arturo González Canto, joined the senior leadership of La Macchia Enterprises (LME), the holding company of The Mark Travel Corporation (TMTC) and Trisept Solutions, in Milwaukee on Thursday, September 24, 2009, to review 2009 leisure travel to Quintana Roo, along with continued recovery efforts and emerging innovations and opportunities that will help tourism to Quintana Roo grow.

This is the second time the Chief Executive Officer of LME Bill La Macchia Sr. has invited the Governor to Milwaukee; his first visit was in 2005. Quintana Roo (which includes Cancun, Riviera Maya and Cozumel) is a top global leisure travel destination and TMTC brands including Funjet Vacations, United Vacations and Spirit Vacations send thousands of travelers to the state each year.

"We were honored to have the Governor and his delegation join us in Milwaukee; this was a unique opportunity to collaborate with the leaders of a destination that has pioneered the Mexico vacation experience," said Bill La Macchia Sr. "This visit is a result of our strong partnership with Quintana Roo and we will continue to be aligned in a strategic direction on a long-term basis."

Joining Governor González Canto in Milwaukee were Dario Flota, Under Secretary of Tourism for the State of Quintana Roo; Jesus Almaguer, General Director of the Cancun Convention & Visitors Bureau; Javier Aranda, the General Director of the Riviera Maya Tourism Board; and Raul Marrufo, the General Director of the Cozumel Promotion Board. The visit with TMTC executives was the Governor's only stop in the U.S. before returning to Quintana Roo.

The day included open discussion about future growth and development for the region and how the two constituencies can work together to sustain Quintana Roo through TMTC hotel and resort partnerships, marketing and technology initiatives. In addition, TMTC offered new and innovative applications for forward-looking technology, marketing and social media.

"TMTC has been a strong ally of Quintana Roo, in times of prosperity and also in challenging times. I appreciate the company's continuous effort to bring an important number of tourists to our destinations each year; in Quintana Roo this translates into jobs and well-being for our community," said Governor Felix González Canto. He also commented on the positive forecast for recovery and the return of a regular flow of visitors in the short term.

TMTC is a leading producer of packaged vacation travel to Quintana Roo and Mexico and received the Keys to the City of Cancun in 2003 - the first tour operator in history to receive this honor. In 2004, TMTC was also the first company to be honored with the Excellence award from the Mexican government.
